Disclaimer: A lot of the in-universe terms will not make sense unless you're one of the members of my D&D campaign ("Eclipse") or I've already released the comic and just forgot to remove this disclaimer.

I started this project to make my life easier when writing spells for my homebrew magic system. Why does my D&D campaign have a custom magic system? Because the setting was originally (and to an extent still is) intended to be a novel.

I'm releasing this project to the public in hopes of finding and patching as many bugs as possible, both in the actual program AND the magic system itself. This includes adding missing aspects that are needed to make spells work better.

Feel free to suggest any sigils you feel might be missing.

PLANNED FEATURES:

  • More Sigils!
  • A tab in the guide screen that shows off various Sigil synergies!
  • Bleeder mode with altered Magescript to inscribe on an obsidian blade!
  • Seal mode to create magic Seals with activation conditions!
  • Dark mode for improved eye comfort!
  • Saving and loading spells to and from a list!
  • Importing and exporting spells!
  • A hand and a Cauldron with various items and materials to be used in spells!
  • Maybe a Puzzle mode where you have to transcribe spells based on a description?
  • Eventually there might be a simulation mode if I figure out how to program the spells to be functional. Don't count on it.
  • If I ever make a full game set in this world, the spellwriter will absolutely be implemented

KNOWN ISSUES:

  • Longer spells spill off the sides of the screen
  • Spells are not yet displayed correctly

If you find a Sigil that is or includes a problematic symbol please let me know so I can change it.
